Meeting With Other Rotary Exchange Students in Bemidji

Over the weekend of September 19-20 14 Rotary Exchange Students from all corners of District 5580 got together in Bemidji, Minnesota.  It was a chance to make new friends, compare exchange experiences and have fun together.  Also a chance to get more pins and show Mexico's flag!

Day Two - In Biology Class

School Begins Tuesday, September 2, 2014

The school year begins in Ely on the day after Labor Day.  It's an exciting day for students, teachers and parents.  The previous weeks have been filled with preparations - and shopping!

Alondra is ready, her backpack full of supplies and a button proudly proclaiming her allegiance to Mexico.

Alondra's First Visit to Ely Rotary - And it's her Birthday!

Alondra's first meeting with the Ely Rotary club was a very special occasion - her 16th birthday!









The club got to meet her and helped her celebrate with a birthday cake, appropriately decorated in red roses.








Alondra was accompanied by her host mom, Michelle Osthoff, and host sister, Taryn.
